WiFi, Networking & Backup

Overview:

Q: What do I need to worry about the technological "plumbing" in my household systems?

A: These systems need to be trustworthy and reliable, to protect your information from threats and problems, and also to enable your lifestyle.

Here are areas of our services which could be beneficial for you:
  • System Survey: Are you feeling overwhelmed with outdated computers, sketchy internet security, or power/network reliability? We can help you take account of your current "technology picture" by figuring out what infrastructure is present by mapping the configuration.
  • Security Assessment: Ensure all household devices are protected from viruses, spyware, and malware by ensuring they are up-to-date and behind a properly-configured firewall (router.)
  • Bandwidth & Network Range: Evaluation of wired and wireless network components, access points, speed for heavy media transport, e.g. HD video, music libraries; generating recommendations and “next steps” for infrastructure upgrades.
  • Backup systems: PC or Mac attached backup OR centralized network-based backup systems, including software clients, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the system.
  • Power continuity:

Our Consultation Workflow:

Once we've booked and had a consultation appointment with you --  to best understand your needs, concerns and wishes, -- we'll proceed by performing an System Survey and generating a report for you. Depending on what we discover in the Survey, we may recommend solutions and highlight current and/or potential liabilities to the safety of your data and functionality of your systems if left unaddressed. We may also offer detailed solutions and outline a proposal for your approval. If you're happy with the proposed system building/changes and pricing, only then will we proceed by procuring the required parts, software, appliances and so on. We'd be happy to answer any questions you have, and we'll also keep in close contact with you as a deployment timeframe approaches. During the deployment phase, we'll make the necessary changes to your systems, and test the most common areas of concern, including wireless network coverage, network speeds, quality of service, backup systems, power continuity, and so on. This ensures that when we leave, your system is fully functional as per the original intentions documented in the design proposal phase. We'll also cover all of the features of your system and answer any further questions you might have in a optional system training appointment; bookable at the end of our installation session, or shortly thereafter. We'll make sure you feel completely comfortable and confident with taking full advantage of your new system.
